Chair based yoga aimed at the older age group, but anyone having difficulty getting down and up from the floor are welcome.
Gentle years Yoga, developed by the British Wheel of Yoga, is a chair-based yoga class that helps older adults with age-related conditions to stay physically active and build skills which help prevent falls. It also teaches yoga techniques to assist in the management of long-term conditions. Adaptations to challenging yoga poses are included so that inactive older adults with comorbidities and physical limitations can safely participate whilst reaping the health and well-being benefits of yoga. The concentration activities can be invigorating and fun and the after-class social time helps to reduce social isolation.
Classes take place on Tuesday morning at 11.00am GMT online via Zoom with a recording available.
Private classes can be arranged.
