My name is Rosemary Prema Bennett and I’ve been practising yoga for more than forty years. I discovered the discipline all the way back in 1985 when working for the BBC. At first, it was just a bit of fun, but I soon discovered that it was a necessity for my life. Without yoga, I couldn’t feel my best.
Now I want to share the same peace and joy this activity brings me with you. Yoga isn’t just exercise: it’s a way of transforming the mind through the movement of the body. After a session, you feel totally different.

Gentle Years Yoga
Gentle years yoga is a type of chair-based yoga specifically designed for older people. It helps you get the benefits of regular yoga, but without the same physical demands on your body. It is great for people with age-related conditions.
If you have physical limitations or comorbidities, you may want to practice this type of yoga. Not only is it fun, but it can also help improve your social life and reduce isolation. It may help to prevent falls too -- another bonus.
Yoga For Healthy Lower Backs
Chronic lower back pain is something that affects a vast swathe of the population. Sitting all day at desks causes changes to the anatomy which, over time, reduce the functionality of the lower spine.
Prema Yoga’s classes for healthy lower backs help people with lower back pain. During sessions, you’ll use evidence-based methods to reduce your discomfort while also improving your overall mental and physical health. Classes typically last 75 minutes, and there are twelve sessions in a course. We provide props, such as belts, blankets and yoga blocks, so you don’t have to.
Yoga For Pregnancy
Lastly, we offer yoga for pregnancy, a special type of yoga designed to deal with depression, low back pain and pelvic girdle pain. Yoga helps pregnant women address many of the challenges of being pregnant, such as anxiety, insomnia and stress.
